Does Peyronies
disease cause Erectile Dysfunction? |
by Jacob Samual
A formation of hardened tissue in the penis, which causes
pain, distortion and curvature during erection, indicates
symptoms of the Peyronies disease. The plaque develops
on the upper or lower side of the penis in layers containing
erectile tissue. It begins as a localized inflammation
and can develop into a hardened scar. In many cases, curves
and pains result in erectile dysfunction. If there are
several areas of plaque incomplete erection may occur.
What causes Peyronies?
The causes of Peyronies disease are unknown. But
let us analyze a few of them.
Trauma or injury
Doctors differ in their opinion when some declare the
root cause of Peyronie's as trauma related. Others point
out some injury or damage of nerves in the pelvic region
as the main cause of disease.
Autoimmune disorder and collagen abnormality
Mens immune system may not respond normally in many
cases. Connective tissue abnormality can also be another
cause.
Medications
Blood pressure and heart medications cause side effects
